Project Overview

Yunmen 5-Season Argyle Resort Hotel is a nature-immersed resort that rejects ornamental excess in favor of material authenticity. The interior weaves together nature, light, and the guest experience to create more than accommodation—a contemplative retreat where emotion can settle and sensory awareness is reawakened.

Warm wood tone drives the material narrative throughout. In the lobby, LANSEN COLOR Sumei Oak panels establish the hotel's "refined elegance, returning to the heart" first impression. In the yoga studio and restaurant, Sumei Oak clads perimeter walls, visually resonating with greenery beyond the windows to form a pure, quiet cocoon for leisure. Within the library-style lounge, the same finish becomes full-height bookshelves and banquette partitions—its grain gently conversing with the scent of books and the softness of upholstery, creating an immersive corner for solitude or hushed conversation. In guest rooms, Sumei Oak appears on headboard walls and custom casework, its consistent warmth lightly sealing out the outside world to evoke absolute relaxation and sanctuary.

LANSEN COLOR Sumei Oak decorative panels run continuously through the lobby, public amenity zones (yoga, dining, library lounge), corridors, and guest rooms. Neither oppressively dark nor clinically pale, the finish strikes a balanced warm-middle ground. Its recurring presence across zones functions like a musical motif—varying in form and pairing but maintaining thematic continuity—linking moments of stillness, relaxation, and social interaction into a coherent emotional journey from arrival to rest.

Material Application

This project uses the LANSEN COLOR decorative surfacing system in Sumei Oak pattern. Characterized by fine, naturally inspired oak grain in a warm light-brown tone, it is installed on lobby feature walls, public area cladding, library bookshelves and partitions, guest room headboards, and custom joinery. The panel offers color-stable performance and mar-resistant durability suited to high-traffic hospitality environments with varied daylight exposure. Continuous application across all zones eliminates batch-variation concerns, allowing a unified warm timber language to carry the spatial narrative—from first arrival through communal pause to private repose—in a fully integrated resort interior material solution.
