Project Introduction

The project is the new campus of Shenzhen Longgang District Second People's Hospital, with a gross floor area of approximately 126,900 sqm. Constructed to tertiary-hospital standards as a key public-welfare project, it integrates outpatient, medical technology, inpatient and administrative/research functions, serving a population of approximately 1.5 million across Buji, Bantian and Jinhua subdistricts.

The design is anchored in a "less is more" philosophy—clean lines and pure color to create a transparent, pressure-free spatial perception where rational healthcare delivery and empathetic healing resonate silently. Expansive Pure White DS4001 walls and ceilings extend visual depth, establishing a professional, clean and bright order base; a measured insertion of Straight-Grain Oak M1052-1 acts as a precisely injected warm accent, preventing the all-white environment from reading as cold. The two tones contrast softly and naturally, together composing a soothing, tranquil healing atmosphere.

DS4001 and M1052-1 are delivered through FT and WT series substrates across wall panels and commercial millwork. The immaculate white perception builds subconscious patient reassurance in the environment's cleanliness, allowing functional elements—door frames, digital displays, handrails—to read clearly within an orderly spatial narrative. The oak's light-brown tone and ordered straight grain grant the otherwise cold wall a sense of breath and approachability, easing patient anxiety. The overall material strategy meets the composite healthcare demands of cleanliness, durability, maintainability and human-centered care.

5. Material Application Notes

The specification centers on two finishes—DS4001 Pure White on the FT Series (FT1) substrate and M1052-1 Straight-Grain Oak on the WT Series (WT2) substrate—deployed across wall panels and commercial millwork.

DS4001 presents in a high-gloss or soft matte pure-white quality; its spotless appearance is a visual of cleanliness, quietly establishing patient confidence and serving as the silent expression of a professional healthcare base. Applied extensively, it simplifies visual information so the spatial structure reads clearly, allowing door frames, displays and handrails to register with clarity. M1052-1 Straight-Grain Oak offers a light米-brown tone with a clear, gentle linear grain—not exaggerated ornamentation, but a subtle manifestation of woody vitality that instantly gives cold walls breath and affinity, reducing patient anxiety and unfamiliarity.

Both finishes deliver dimensional stability and finish durability suited to the hospital's large-area, high-footfall, cleaning operational environment. Pure white establishes the rational foundation; straight-grain oak injects vital warmth. Their interplay creates a healing-space essence that is efficient, safe and reassuring—supporting the design intent of "silent resonance between rational medicine and emotional healing."
