Lu Xiaoyu is a dining space centered on Jiaodong Peninsula seafood, positioned at the intersection of local maritime heritage and contemporary design. The interior concept—"Dwelling by Mountains and Sea, Dining Among People"—creates a complete narrative journey from visual atmosphere to culinary experience, offering an immersive venue that feels both rooted in place and modern in spirit.
The space is built on two dominant material tones: the warmth of wood and the serenity of grey. Albert Oak, with its varied wood grain depths, quietly introduces the rustic richness of the Jiaodong coastline into the interior. Its natural affinity dissolves the sense of unfamiliarity, giving the space a quality of inclusiveness and ease. Liviya Micro-cement, with its silky fine texture, constructs a tranquil, tactile background. Its grey is not cold—it resembles the misty haze over the sea just after dawn, bringing a modern stillness that sets off the vivid blue of the seafood display tanks, the bright tones of leather banquettes, and the fresh colors of the dishes themselves.
LANSEN COLOR decorative wall panels are applied throughout the space's wall system. Albert Oak spreads across wall surfaces as a warm wooden narrative, replacing flat, decorative ocean motifs. Liviya Micro-cement provides a textured grey foundation with modern restraint. Together, the two finishes form a layered, metaphorical backdrop that allows marine decorative elements and live seafood displays to grow naturally within the space, achieving a deeply immersive expression from theme to atmosphere.
This project utilizes the LANSEN COLOR decorative wall cladding system in two key surface patterns: Albert Oak and Liviya Micro-cement. Albert Oak features a rich, warm brown tone across wall surfaces, evoking the imagery of seawater-soaked reefs and ship hulls, injecting a warm, substantial narrative quality into the space. Liviya Micro-cement offers a fine, silky grey texture that abstracts the mist-covered sea surface and sandy beach tones, providing a modern, serene backdrop. The two finishes play distinct roles—one as "warm narrator," the other as "quiet"—working in tandem to create a commercial dining interior that balances warmth, texture, and visual depth.
