Project Overview

Xiaoxiang Fu Huanbaoyuan Branch is a high-end Hunan cuisine venue whose interior interprets regional heritage through material authenticity rather than literal decorative symbols. Light, objects, color, and line are composed into a quiet foundation so that the brand promise—"a seat at Xiaoxiang Fu is the beauty of Hunan flavor"—gains tangible spatial depth. The design aims to let all gatherings and tastes "settle into a deeper artistic conception."

The material narrative centers on LANSEN COLOR Leonard Oak—its grain suggesting layered distant mountains or ink-wash brushwork—clad across the reception counter, dining area feature walls, the tea-tasting zone backdrop, and custom display shelves. Under soft cove lighting the wood reads as a "xuan paper background" for the space. A warm grey-brown timber undertone dialogues with Hunan-red fan logos, champagne-gold calligraphy, and green onyx-like stone, tempering the coldness of stone and sharpness of metal to inject human warmth.

LANSEN COLOR Leonard Oak panels run from the public-area reception desk through banquette wall cladding, tea zone, and bespoke shelving/custom table sides. Acting as a composed, culture-bearing substrate, the dark wood grain elevates rather than competes with painted landscape murals and bold cultural signage. The finish offers color-consistent performance and a mar-resistant surface suited to high-traffic dining areas, realizing LANSEN COLOR's "Spatial Emotion Solution" in a premium Chinese dining context—where material quietly supports brand story, guest comfort, and aesthetic longevity.

Material Application

This project uses the LANSEN COLOR decorative surfacing system in Leonard Oak pattern. Characterized by deep brown tone with fine, naturally inspired oak grain that evokes aged, time-polished timber, it is installed on the reception counter front, dining zone wainscoting, tea-tasting area feature walls, open shelving, and dining table fascias. The panel provides batch-consistent color across large surfaces and a cleanable, wear-resistant finish appropriate for food-service environments. Its composed timber presence functions as a cultural foil—making red logos, gold calligraphy, and verdant stone accents more vivid—while delivering a warm, classic, Orient-inspired interior finish for upscale hospitality use.
