One by Wan is a Chao-Shan × Japanese fusion dining venue situated beside Jiulong Lake within the Aranya Guangzhou community. The interior avoids literal cultural symbols, instead using material tactility and modulated light to compose a space that feels simultaneously like a weathered southern Chinese courtyard and a Japanese tea-room—quiet, grounded, and emotionally resonant.
LANSEN COLOR Liviya Micro-cement finish cloaks perimeter walls as a continuous, softly textured plane. Its warm-grey micro-surface—evoking both timeworn local masonry and the "wabi-sabi" earthen walls of a tea house—bridges the vivacity of Chaoshan culture and the restraint of Japanese dining ritual. At the chef's bar, the micro-cement wall contrasts with a dark timber countertop, the matte backdrop allowing glassware and ceramic vessels to read as focal points.
LANSEN COLOR Liviya Micro-cement panels/cladding are installed across all dining zone walls. The finish has a skin-like fine texture that absorbs and gently re-emits light, establishing the space's warm-beige-and-grey tonal foundation. It also offers a cleanable, stain-resistant surface appropriate to high-end food service. Acting as a "silent background," the micro-cement unifies the interior and elevates the dining experience—a characteristic LANSEN COLOR material-scenography application for boutique hospitality projects.
This project uses the LANSEN COLOR decorative surfacing system in Liviya Micro-cement pattern. Characterized by a warm grey tone with an ultra-fine, slightly granular micro-texture, it is applied to full-height restaurant walls to form a continuous, non-reflective backdrop. The finish references both weathered local plaster walls and Japanese tea-room earthen surfaces. Beyond its aesthetic authenticity, the panel provides a durable, wipe-clean surface suitable for daily maintenance in premium dining environments. By staying visually recessive, the micro-cement allows dark timber, displayed ceramics, and plated dishes to take center stage—delivering a serene, sophisticated hospitality interior.
